The Cellmate SW1 Wheels bluetooth hands free car kit is attached to your steering wheel with a quick release clip. It can also be dash mounted using magnetic contacts. Attach it on your steering wheel and you can safely answer calls without moving your hands.

It is simple to install and takes just a few moments to pair and connect with your bluetooth enabled cell phone.

The built-in speaker and microphone with full DSP noise and echo reduction technology provide clear communications. Up to 200 contacts can be stored in this car kit with the name and number appearing in the LCD display.

Several functions are available including voice dialing (for cell phones with this feature) call waiting, last number redial and call rejection. Recharging the Li-ion battery is via a 12V car adapter with unit mounted on the dash or unclip to charge on the USB outlet of your computer. This model is easily removed for use in home or office. Adjust the car kit volume while a call is in progress. When using voice dialing, record the name clearly and repeat the name as recorded.

To install the SW1 car kit, simply follow these instructions:

Remove items from the packaging box and attach the wheel clamp to your steering wheel. Choose a position that does not obscure your instruments when the car kit is attached. It should be in a comfortable easy position for answering calls. The clamp has two protrusions that slide into the top of the car kit. Slide the car kit onto these guides.Your car kit is now in place and fixed to the steering wheel. To answer a call, press the multi-function button located on the right hand side on the front of the unit. But before you can do this , you need to pair your cell phone to the car kit.

Pairing is a process where the hands free device and your cell phone communicate using bluetooth technology. All cell phones vary in their menu options but bluetooth is generally found in the connectivity menu. If your cell phone does not pair automatically, choose the “find hands-free device” option and HF30 will soon appear on your list of bluetooth devices. Enter the supplied password. If connection is not automatic, some cell phones will then have a sub menu where you make the connection. You can now receive and make hands free calls.

On some phones you can send a contact or business card to the SW1 unit while already connected. Some cell phones will display “bluetooth busy” and you will have to disconnect before sending the contact.

Follow the menu options to send the contact. When the contact has been sent you will get a confirmation message appearing in the LCD display.

For Apple iphone users, there is no ‘send contact” menu option. You can still upload contacts via the following methods: Press the up / down buttons on the face of the car kit at the same time and your contacts will start uploading. If you want to be more selective, use a bluetooth intermediary laptop on which you have synchronized your iphone contacts. Then send the contacts to the hands free device by bluetooth.

With the device switched on, paired, connected and with contacts transferred, incoming calls will be sent from your cell phone to the solar unit with the caller name and number appearing on the display.

You can leave your cell phone in your pocket or handbag – just as long as it is within 10 meters of the device which is the approximate limit of bluetooth range.

When leaving the car, turn off the device to conserve power. If your car is in the garage on nearby, turning off the unit will break the connection leaving you free to use your cell phone normally. When you next turn it on, your cell phone will reconnect automatically.

When initiating outgoing calls, try to use voice dialing. It’s a lot easier and safer to say the name of the person you want to speak to than scrolling through contacts. Try keeping your contacts to the minimum – it will be much easier to locate the number.

To recharge the unit while driving, use the magnetic mount which will stick to your dashboard. Route the 12-24V cable and adapter to the power outlet so as not to interfere with driving.

You can also unclip the car kit and plug into the USB outlet on your PC.

Your Cellmate order will usually be despatched the day we receive your online credit card or paypal payment. If you are making an internet bank transfer payment, we despatch on receipt of funds, which is often the next business day. Please make sure to include the confirmation order number in the bank reference to avoid processing delays.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday and should arrive the next working day for the North Island. Please allow an extra 2-3 days for the South Island. If you pay by bank deposit, we can ship to any address you prefer. If you make payment by Paypal or credit card we can only send to your billing address.

We currently operate a New Zealand wide shipping rate of $6 for all orders.

You should examine the products when you receive them. If any item is damaged or missing, you must notify Cellmate at once: info@cellmate.co.nz Cellmate will not consider any claim for damaged or missing items more than Seven (7) days from the date of delivery. In the event of a claim, please retain all packaging for inspection purposes.

International Shipping

If your delivery address is overseas and you would like to make an order please email us: info@cellmate.co.nz and we will advise you on our international shipping services which are charged at cost. All import duties & local taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

All prices on this website are in New Zealand dollars and include GST (at the current prevailing rate of 12.5% tax). International customers with an overseas delivery address will be billed GST free. This only applies to orders we export to a non New Zealand delivery address. We will confirm the price for goods and shipping with you directly by email.

Our Guarantee

Where the goods are of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies to this contract:

1 if any of the goods fail to comply with any guarantee in the Consumer Guarantees Act, Cellmate will repair or replace those goods within 1 year of purchase.

2 without excluding Cellmate’s obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Customer acknowledges that Cellmate does not provide any Express Guarantees (as defined in that Act) other than those expressly confirmed by Cellmate in writing.

3 if the goods are acquired by the Customer for business purposes, the Customer agrees that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.

4 if the Customer supplies the goods in trade to a person acquiring them for business purposes, it must be a term of the Customer's contract that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply in respect of the goods and

5 if the Customer supplies the goods to any person, the Customer must not give or make any undertaking, assertion or representation in relation to the goods without Cellmate's prior approval in writing, and the Customer agrees to indemnify Cellmate against any liability or cost incurred by Cellmate under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 as a result of any breach by the Customer of these obligations.

6 The following terms apply wherever the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply to this contract, or where the following terms are not inconsistent with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:

6.1 Defective goods or goods which do not comply with the contract may at Cellmate’s discretion be repaired or replaced, or the price refunded.

6.2 Any right which the Customer may have to reject non-conforming or defective goods will only be effective if:

6.3 the Customer notifies Cellmate in writing within seven days following delivery and Cellmate is given the opportunity to inspect the goods and

6.4 the goods are returned unused, re-saleable and/or in the condition the Customer received them.

7 Cellmate accepts no liability for any claim by the Customer or any other person, including without limitation any claim relating to or arising from:

7.1 Any conditions, warranties, descriptions, representations, conditions as to fitness or suitability for any purpose, tolerance to any conditions, merchantability or otherwise, whether express or implied by law, trade custom or otherwise or

7.2 Any representations, warranties, conditions or agreement made by any agent or representative which are not expressly confirmed by Cellmate in writing or

7.3 Any services forming part of the supply of the goods which have been performed by any third party; and the Customer agrees to indemnify Cellmate against any such claim.

7.4 In any event, Cellmate's liability under any claim shall not exceed the price of the goods. 8 Nothing in these terms is intended to have the effect of contracting out of the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 except to the extent permitted by that Act.
